Farewell Harry RIP

A Poem written for Harry by his son (Henry) Mark Dege

Mountain Man

The whispering sounds of wind through the trees

The crackling sounds of falling leaves

Can you hear the songs the mountains sing

As she casts her spell for the day of spring

She sings to a tune that only a mountain man can hear

For the mountains and the man are forever near

The sculptured tones in the painted bark

The tortured shadows of leaves in the dark

As chilled air falls to the valley floor

I see a welcome sign as she beckons me once more
